Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
Managing intense emotions, traumatic experiences, and interpersonal relationships doesn’t need to dominate your life. Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) uses a structured combination of skills training and individual sessions to help you reduce emotional suffering, change concerning behaviors, and build a meaningful life worth living.

Would DBT Suit Me?
DBT adapts Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) specifically to help people reduce chronic stress and control intense urges. It is particularly suitable for individuals looking to manage stress better, regulate overpowering emotions, address self-destructive behaviors (such as substance abuse or eating disorders), and safely practice coping skills in a controlled environment.
Click through the four core learning modules below to explore the skills we build:
-
Core Mindfulness
-
Distress Tolerance
-
Interpersonal Effectiveness
-
Emotion Regulation

Core Mindfulness
The foundation of all DBT treatment, based on the pioneering work of Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn. Learn strategies to manage anxiety, address dissociation, and direct your attention effectively without judgment. This empowers you to navigate intense experiences and find genuine moments of calm.

Deepening Intimacy
Develop practical strategies to accept and survive unavoidable emotional pain in the moment. Featuring the powerful mindfulness practice of Radical Acceptance, this module builds your capacity to respond constructively to intolerable experiences that cannot immediately be changed.

Interpersonal Effectiveness
Learn to improve your relationships and protect your well-being within them. Whether you tend to be passive or forceful, these skills assist you in communicating effectively, establishing boundaries, and resolving interpersonal conflicts without losing your autonomy or self-respect.

Emotion Regulation
Gain actionable, robust skills to change painful emotional states and build resilience against sudden emotional triggers. By understanding and working with your feelings, you will actively increase positive emotions and create a stable sense of daily well-being.
